![[2009.09] Dakar First Rides : 09.09.2009 - picked up the Dakar on monday, this was the first time i actually rode it for something other than to and from work... even though this was technically on the way home from work. this was also the Dakar's maiden voyage off-road, my first ride off-road on a bike designed for such, and my second adventure trespassing on the only dirt road i've found in San Jose.

![[2009.03.24] recharge ride : this is my recharge ride. i do this whenever i feel the need to remind myself why i own a motorcycle. this is a ride i do often, mostly because the start of the ride, where mt. hamilton road begins, is only a few blocks from where i live.

![[2008.08.04] barf group ride : my first experience with a "group ride". we gathered nice and early at "SnellBucks", and proceeded to ride "to pie". all in all it was a fun time, but for me... the group was too big, and i like riding at my own pace, not someone else's.

![[2008.07.28] first ride : literally my first "ride" on the bike (other than practicing in parking lots). the wife was working at six, and after dropping her off, and going back home to get the bike, i went off exploring on roads i'd never been on, on a bike i'd barely gotten used to, starting off with quite slim visibility due to the early morning fog.
